Halt the Assault

It was only a matter of time until someone made the connection between Queen’s “I Want It All” and the Democrats take over of many private sector industries.

Virginia’s Own to Deliver Republican Response to SOTU Address

Filed under: Barack Obama,Bob McDonnell — loudounlady @ 1:31 am

Earlier this week it was announced that Virginia’s Governor, Robert McDonnell, will deliver the Republican’s response to President Obama’s State of the Union Address, which is due to take place Wednesday evening.

It has been tradition for the GOP to select an up-and-coming GOPer. Despite last years governor’s race attracting national attention, Wednesday night’s response will give Mr. McDonnell the opportunity to present himself as a politician to the nation.

I wish McDonnell the best of luck and have no doubt he will rise to the challenge.

White House Upset With Deeds!!!

Filed under: Barack Obama,Creigh Deeds — loudounlady @ 12:13 am

With the latest Washington Post article showing Republican Bob McDonnell up by 9 points, the White House has expressed their discontent over the way Creigh Deeds has run his campaign.

Why might Obama and his cronies be upset with Deeds?

Maybe because only 12% percent of African Americans have said they will vote for Deeds, whereas African Americans made up 20% of the electorate during the presidential race.

Maybe it’s because Deeds lacks the charisma and oratorical skills President Obama possesses.  Obama was able to effectively get the young people to “get out and vote,” Deeds on the other hand is struggling to get any out and vote.

Want an example?  Just look at this video of Deeds trying to explain taxes:

And lastly, maybe it’s because more Democrats are voting for McDonnell than Republicans are voting for Deeds.

You make the call.

Loudoun High Schools Get Turf

Filed under: Barack Obama — loudounlady @ 7:40 pm

Always keeping up with the Loudoun School Board’s decision I am pleased with their recent ruling on allowing two high schools in the country, Woodgrove High School in Purcellville and Tuscarora High School in Leesburg, to have artificial turf on their new football fields.

The board went on to say the turf, which costs an arm and a leg, will pay for itself in the future for night having to pay for upkeep.  Another advantage of the turf fields will be that games will actually be played.  On a number of occasions games had to be cancelled because of the fields condition.

Any thoughts in this recent conversion?

Obama Says “No” to Demographics

Filed under: Barack Obama,Elena Kagan — loudounlady @ 9:50 pm

For the past several weeks critics and pundits alike have debated and argued who President Barack Obama will nominate to fill David Souter’s vacancy in the Supreme Court.  Proponents of the President have deemed it necessary to appoint either a women or a minority, believing it goes in-line with his ideology.  While this debate has been going on, conservatives have come out and said they will not listen to the President and grant him a speedy nomination.

However, the President has come out and said he will NOT make the decision based on demographics, that he wants someone with the “common touch.”  As of right now I commend the President for taking this stand, whenever individuals are selected in accordance with their gender and/or race I strongly believe our nation is in jeopardy.

This nomination should come from a merit-based guideline.  With this being said, I do believe the President will nominate a woman, and if I had to guess I believe that woman will be Elena Kagan, who served as Associate Counsel to President Bill Clinton.

Dems. Won’t Give Obama Money for Gitmo Closing

Filed under: Barack Obama — loudounlady @ 2:51 am

There’s a first time for everything!!!

The Democratic controlled Senate has blocked President Obama’s plan to close Guantanamo and send the detainees into the U.S.  Earlier this week the Senate voted, 90-6, to block the transfer of 240 inmates and $80 million to close down the facility.  Throughout the election President Obama repeatedly pledged to close the facility within the first couple months of office.  However, Obama is getting hit with the harsh reality being a great orator and schmoozing foreign diplomats will NOT allow him to walk all over them.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who is facing immense amounts of criticism from the right side, said the facility will stay open until the president has offered a comprehensive plan on where the detainees will go.

Obama Does it Again

Filed under: Barack Obama — loudounlady @ 5:10 pm

The lies and deception continue.

The contrasts between President Obama and Campaign Obama continue.

Several prominent democratic and republican politicians have asked Attorney General Eric Holder to launch a full-scale investigation into Indian tribes who have abused the rights of the Freedmen.  These “Freedmen” are African-American descendents from freed slaves who were once owned by Indians.

This is where President Obama and Campaign Obama contrasts.

While campaining then-Senator Barack Obama told Native Americans he would argue against Washington intervening in any dispute involving the Freedmen.   BUT now that he has become president he is disregarding his campaign promises.  AGAIN!!
