Commuter Trains Collide Near D.C.

Filed under: Uncategorized — loudounlady @ 11:51 pm

There have been four confirmed deaths when two commuter trains, north of D.C., collided around five p.m.  These deaths are the most for one accident in the history of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, which has been around since the 1960s.

In addition to the four confirmed deaths, 60 other passengers were injured.  Images on CNN show one train car ontop of the opposing train, it is report that one train was stationary while the other was moving.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected families.
