Transportation, No. 1 Challenge

Filed under: Loudoun — loudounlady @ 2:49 pm

In a survey conducted for the Greater Washington Coalition of 2050, 1,000 area residents were asked what they saw as the biggest challenge facing residents.  Respondents claimed, overwhelmingly, that transportation is most important long-term challenge facing the Washington region.

Here are some stats on the survey:

29% of the respondents view economy and jobs as second largest problem

23% of respondents view education and schools as third largest problem

I happen to agree with the majority on this issue.  The transportation going into the Washington area in the mornings and evenings is absolutely horrendous.  I hope the incoming governor listens to the people and deals with this problem immediately.
